Cheshire Dogs Home – Ivy

Name:  Ivy

Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier x English Bull Terrier

Gender:  Female

Age: 2 years 7 months

CDH Number: c100

Ivy is a headstrong, comical young girl looking for an experienced, active home with people who can provide her with the stimulation and training she needs.

She was found as a stray and sadly never claimed but is now ready to start looking for her new home, she is only young and does require basic training, she is very strong on the lead but is currently being trained to walk with a head collar, this is helping but should not replace the required lead work.

She is sociable with other dogs but very keen to say hello to every dog she sees, she can be easily frustrated on walks as she wants to explore all, run riot and say hello to every dog she sees, her frustration can result in her being very vocal on walks, she will be needing further socialisation and training to help with this. She has an awful lot of energy and is keen to follow her nose, she would benefit from a very active home, with people keen to go on walks to exciting places where she can explore and learn new things. Whilst here at the dogs home she has been enjoying blowing off steam in our off lead compound, she is particularly fond of footballs, although her passion is destroying them, she takes great delight in this! She does have a very high prey drive and with her background it is unlikely that she will ever be able to go off lead, she would like a home with a secure garden where she can play off lead safely.

She can get quite stressed and would not like a home where she is left for long hours, instead with people around lots of keep her company and provide her with lots of physical and mental stimulation.

Due to her training needs she is looking for an experienced, adult only home with no other pets.
