Like every charity we rely on the support given to us by everyone.
We would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to some of our patrons and to say “Thanks” for their support.
Max George is famous on both sides of the Atlantic as a band member in boy band The Wanted – but he’s also a committed dog lover who has chosen to support Manchester Dogs’ Home as a patron. Max, who was born in Manchester, approached the Dogs’ Home after his beloved dog Pele died. Since becoming a patron, he has been tweeting regularly about the Dogs’ Home and has even mentioned us on MTV!
Jodie Prenger, born and bred in Blackpool, is a West End leading lady and TV presenter. Having won the public’s heart – and the competition itself – on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s I’d Do Anything, Jodie went on to star as Nancy in the West End production of Lionel Bart’s Oliver before moving to other leading musical theatre roles and TV presenting. Jodie is devoted to her own dogs and “loves all animals”.
Jason Done is best known as his character from hit school drama Waterloo Road, although he’s also starred in films and the Steven Spielberg-directed series Band of Brothers. The acting bug obviously runs in the family – Jason’s cross-breed dog Rigsby, a former Manchester Dogs’ Home resident, has also starred in adverts in his own right!
