Job Title:-
40hr Contract – Admin & Social Media Assistant

Position at Cheshire Dogs Home, 225 Knutsford Road Grappenhall, Warrington WA4 3JZ

Description:-

  • Dealing with the interaction between the general public and the Dogs Home.
  • Dealing with queries by telephone, email and letter.
  • Assisting the Home Manager with all admin during busy periods.
  • Develop and establish relations with other Charities, agencies, volunteers and staff.
  • Support the Home Manager and Assistant Home Managers with day-to-day fundraising and profile raising activities for the home
  • To Multi task and help out in our reception/kennel areas when needed
  • Play an active role in updating and developing all digital media with full   liaison with the Home Manager. Produce and supply support materials as required (adapting templates supplied by the charity).
  • Assist the Home Manager and Assistant Home Managers to update the website using WordPress
  • Regularly updating images on the website using the content management system
  • Developing and maintaining all aspects of Cheshire Dogs Home social media applications including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Wage:-
£7.50 per hour

Hours:-
40 hours per week – working pattern includes weekend work this will be  discussed on interview

Job Title:-
Full Time Veterinary Care Assistant/Home Assistants Contract

District:-
Position at Cheshire Dogs Home, 225 Knutsford Road Grappenhall, Warrington WA4 3JZ

Description:-

  • The Veterinary Care Assistant part of the role will be working within the vet unit assisting the Veterinary Surgeons. This will include handling medications dispensing drugs once they have been prescribed, helping with stock control. administering medication to inpatients, restraining for blood tests and health checks, injections, claw clipping etc. Monitoring in-patients including temperature, pulse, respiration rates, as well as urine and faeces output. check intravenous fluids this will be under the direction and supervision of a veterinary surgeon. This role will include assisting the veterinary surgeon in the monitoring of anaesthesia once fully trained
  • The Home Assistant part of the job is mainly caring for the dogs in our care but it is also very diverse with many duties within and around the Home . If you are confident in handling Dogs, dealing with the public and can work well in a team, this job could suit you. You will need to be alert, so you can spot changes in dogs’ behavior. Some of your duties will be dealing with the public, making sure the home is tidy at all times, cleaning out the kennels plus other duties around the home

Practical experience is highly valued and an VCA qualification is desirable but training can be give to the right candidate a animal related course would be preferred but hands on training will and can be given.
